Unlocking your Path to our Master’s Degree Programs: the Entrance Examinations
If you are eyeing a master’s program at Corvinus University of Budapest, you will likely need to take the Corvinus entrance exam since it is a crucial part of the application process. Learn more about the entrance examinations here!
For starters, how does the Corvinus entrance exam work?
The test is designed to measure your skills in:
– Quantitative reasoning: math problem-solving
– Verbal ability: reading, grammar, and language
– Logical reasoning: analyzing patterns and thinking critically
The entrance examination requires passing a written exam, and, for some master’s programs, an oral exam.
The score system:
The written exam is worth 60 points, and the oral exam can add up to 30 points. If there is no oral exam, the written exam is worth 90 points.
Written exam types:
Please note that the type of exam you must take depends on the master’s program you are applying to.
Type A: for most programs. It will evaluate your quantitative and qualitative skills, as well as data interpretation and language skills.
Type B: for International Relations and Communication and Media Studies. This test will evaluate your reasoning and language skills as well as data interpretation.
Written exam exemptions:
• If you have a diploma graded at least good/B (ECTS) issued by a university with an international AACSB or EQUIS accreditation or by a CEMS member university, for example a Corvinus diploma, you can use that to replace the written entrance exam.
• If you have a diploma with a good (4) grade, you will get 50 points (or 75 points if there is no oral exam) for the written exam.
• If you have a diploma with an excellent (5) grade, you will get 60 points (or 90 points if there is no oral exam) for the written exam.
• Results from a recognized international test will also be accepted, if minimum scores have been achieved: at least 500 on GMAT, 300 on GRE, 150 on NMAT or 485 on GMAT FE. Please note that as these are minimum scores, you may need to achieve more points to be admitted.
Oral exam:
The interviews take place online and are around 10-15 minutes long. Your motivation and professional skills will be assessed.
We are currently working on a preparatory exam so that applicants can practice before taking the actual Corvinus entrance exam.
Other exams accepted by Corvinus:
