A comprehensive guide on how to pay the application fee
One part of the application process here at Corvinus University of Budapest is to pay the application fee in the amount of 75 EUR and provide the University with proof of payment. The application fee is compulsory and non-refundable – we are unable to waive this fee for any applicant.
How to access the invoice
Once you create your application, the system will generate an invoice in your name. You will need this invoice to be able to pay the application fee via bank/wire transfer. You will also receive a notification email with information on how to find the generated invoice.
To access your invoice, log in to your account in DreamApply. Once logged in, go to the Finances section on the left-hand side. This will lead you to your invoice.
1. How to make a transfer payment
Once you open the invoice, you will be presented with your personal information. You will need to provide your personal information in the notice/reference information field when making the payment.
To help us identify you, please enter the following text as an announcement/notice:
- <your applicantion ID><your family name><AppFee>
- E.g. <123><Smith><AppFee>.
Please also ensure that you include the invoice number in the payment transaction. Otherwise the payment may not get properly processed.
- Your invoice number is shown at the top, it begins with AF- followed by 8 digits.
- E.g. *AF-12345678.
Make sure you follow the steps exactly as described so that our finance team can easily verify your payment.
On the right-hand side of the document, you will find the university’s bank details, such as bank name, account number, IBAN and SWIFT code. Your bank will use these details to complete the bank/wire transfer.
Once you complete the transaction, take a screenshot of your payment confirmation in your mobile app or a picture of the confirmation slip you received at your bank and upload it as part of your application in Corvinus University’s DreamApply system.
2. How to pay by card
Find the SimplePay button on your invoice.Once you open the invoice, you will be presented with your personal information on the left side and bank details of the university on the right-hand side. Scroll down until you see a grey button “Pay with SimplePay” on the right-hand side. After pressing the button, you will be redirected to the page where you will be able to pay with your card.
Once you have been redirected, enter your card details and proceed according to the instructions on the page and/or your mobile bank app. Remember to take a photo or a screenshot of the confirmation after your payment has gone through, since you will need to upload this as proof of payment to your DreamApply application.
Please note:
- The application fee must be paid in EUR. If your bank does not work with EUR, you may pay the equivalent in your local currency using the daily exchange rate given at www.otpbanka.hr/en/exchange-rates.
- You must also pay the full 75 EUR, so please take into consideration potential administration/transfer fees charged by your bank.
- You may also take your invoice to your bank, and they should be able to help you with completing the transfer. In case you run into issues with bank transfer, it is also possible to pay the application fee using online banking systems, such as Revolut or Wise.
- It can take up to a week for your transfer payment to reach us and another week for the finance department to process the payment, so we kindly ask for your patience.
- Card payments are approved immediately.
Once we connect the payment to your application, you will receive an email confirmation that your payment has been processed/collected.
