Entry qualification | Postgraduate diploma (or higher) Application to the doctoral programmes of the University is open to Hungarian nationals, nationals of the EU and the EEA enjoying equal treatment with Hungarian nationals as well as non-Hungarian nationals who do not belong to the group of nationals enjoying equal treatment with Hungarian nationals and a) who have a diploma obtained during a master-level programme (MA or MSc) or following an earlier university programme certifying a tertiary qualification and b) whose professional and scientific competence is deemed to be suitable by the c) whose language proficiency is deemed to be suitable by the competent admission committee, d) if they have scholarly publications, they have recorded and approved them in MTMT and have accepted liability for the accuracy of the information by signing the author’s declaration. If your qualifications are not in English or Hungarian, official translations will be required for all diplomas and transcripts into English or Hungarian. You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university. |

Overview
The business informatics specialist is responsible for understanding real business processes in the information society’s conditions and values, solving the problems they face using IT and related modelling and application tasks. A successful culmination of a business informatics master’s is a doctoral school that equips its participants with the skills to learn continuously, develop the knowledge they have acquired, and become independent scientific researchers. It will enable graduates to carry out complex analyses of business problems from IT perspectives and to teach and carry out research in these fields by providing them with a modern approach and methodology in data science, information management and computing.
The doctoral school will build primarily on the MSc in Business Informatics, but students from other disciplines are also welcome. In addition to the MSc in Business Informatics, doctoral students are also expected from the MSc in Insurance and Financial Mathematics, accredited in 2007 and jointly established by ELTE and Corvinus University of Budapest, the MSc in Business Development and the MSc in Regional and Environmental Economics, as well as from the MSc in Informatics and the MSc in Programme Design.
