| Entry qualification | Postgraduate diploma (or higher) Application to the doctoral programmes of the University is open to Hungarian nationals, nationals of the EU and the EEA enjoying equal treatment with Hungarian nationals as well as non-Hungarian nationals who do not belong to the group of nationals enjoying equal treatment with Hungarian nationals and a) who have a diploma obtained during a master-level programme (MA or MSc) or following an earlier university programme certifying a tertiary qualification and b) whose professional and scientific competence is deemed to be suitable by the c) whose language proficiency is deemed to be suitable by the competent admission committee, d) if they have scholarly publications, they have recorded and approved them in MTMT and have accepted liability for the accuracy of the information by signing the author’s declaration. If your qualifications are not in English or Hungarian, official translations will be required for all diplomas and transcripts into English or Hungarian. You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university. |

| Language requirements | English Applicants must have a minimum B2 level of English knowledge which is tested by the admission committee. The following secured English language tests with the minimum scores stated are accepted as proof: Cambridge, FCE Bachelor’s and MSc degrees obtained in English are also acceptable as proof of language knowledge. |

| Other requirements | Applicants must consult the Programme Director in advance (before submitting the application file) and must include a written recommendation from the Programme Director supporting the fact of the grant. Applicants must submit their research proposal in English. The oral interview will be held in English. The expected length of the research plan to be submitted in the application is 5 pages, excluding references. The proposed structure of the research plan is set out in Annex 2 to the Regulations of the Doctoral School. The written examination concerns the field of management and organizational sciences, in particular knowledge of the research methodology and the subject of specialization chosen by the applicant. The oral exam serves to assess the applicant’s motivation, professional commitment and aptitude to perform educational and research tasks. The admission decision is based on a preliminary review of the submitted application materials and the outcome of the oral interview. The evaluation system for the admission examination is set out in Annex 1 to the Regulations of the Doctoral School. Overview
The highest level of education in the management domain serves both the recruitment of talents for our university and the global academic community, and to support careers in (senior) management, consulting, and expert positions, where scientifically proven methods and procedures based on the latest research findings play a key role.
On one hand, the Management Studies Program is an exciting adventure into the world of business ventures (from start-ups to large corporations), as well as public and non-profit organizations through relevant theories and research results (building on the knowledge already acquired at lower levels). On the other hand, it also provides methodological knowledge that covers all stages of the research life cycle, from the choice of theoretical framework and research model construction, through data collection techniques, to analysis and conclusions. All this together equips the doctoral student to conduct research of scientific quality and to share the results in recognized international forums in our field.
